Meet the Team
WHERE THEATRE MEETS INQUIRY
Our community is made up of artists, educators, facilitators, and staff who care about bodies, stories, and power in equal measure.They come from theatre, dance, media, education, and community work, bringing different lived experiences but a shared commitment to freedom, presence, and authenticity. Together, they hold space for embodied storytelling that is rigorous, collaborative, and deeply human.

emBODY Staff

Corinne M Mason, emBODY Method Founder & Artistic Director
(She/Her/Hers) Corinne M. Mason is a professional director, choreographer, and teaching artist. She received her Master’s Degree in Theatre Education, from Emerson College, and a B.F.A. from The New School University. She also holds a Certificate in Musical Theatre from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Corinne has taught performing arts, directed, and choreographed with several companies, including Lyric Stage Company, Stonehill College, Wellesley Summer Theatre, The Company Theatre, MMASBlackBox, Cambridge Youth Dance Program, and North Cambridge Family Opera. Currently, Corinne serves as a Theatre Faculty Professor, at Massasoit Community College. At the college, she teaches Choreography, Dance, Dramatic Literature, Movement for Acting, and Design for the Theatre. She also serves as advisor for The Practical Theatre Ensemble, which focuses on the practical application of theatre studies into rehearsal practice.
Corinne is passionate about the development of new plays and the art of collaborative creation. She believes theatre has the potential to promote empathy, understanding, open dialogue, and reflection for both participants and audiences alike, and strives to infuse these values in every project she takes on. Over the past few years she has directed and choreographed several original productions including, The Werewolves (Manhattan Repertory Theatre), Les Nuls (Artists from Suburbia), Trial of Madeline Gee, Eris’ Chain (Massasoit Theatre Company), Winter People, Queen of Sad Mischance, Autumn Cross, and We Will Not Describe the Conversation (New Works Play Festival).

Lab Artists 2025-2026

Magdalene Bastarache, Lab Performance Artist
(she/her/hers) Maggie is a Middleboro based actress and has been performing in since high school. She is a recent graduate of Massasoit Community College, with Business Administration and Theatre Arts degrees. Some of her favorite roles include Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest, Big Stone/Father in Eurydice, and Jo March in Little Women. She’d like to thank her family for their years of support and her friends for pushing her to continue performing on the stage.

Lucio Faria, Lab Performance Artist

Lucio is so excited to be apart of this production! Lucio is the Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer for The Maenad Theatre Troupe. He has served as director for the SouthWest Middle School (in collaboration with Mel O’ Drama) in Quincy, putting on shows like The Day Aliens Attacked Fairfield, and High School Musical JR. Lucio also has done makeup and costume design for multiple shows, including Into The Woods at the UCC Randolph. Recently, he served as stage manager for The Maenad Theatre Troupe's production of Lysistrata. Outside of producing, Lucio has acted in shows like A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania/Hippolyta), Ruddigore Abridged (Zorah), Into The Woods (Lucinda), Romeo and Juliet (Friar John), and Godspell (Herb). Outside the theatre, Lucio is the administrator for an outdoor ministry in Boston, dedicated to helping our unhoused neighbors. Lucio is currently enrolled at Massasoit Community College studying Business and Accounting and currently working towards his Certificate in Computerized Accounting. He previously studied Theatre at Massasoit Community College, while also being apart of their theatre student leader program.

(she/her/hers) Sabrina Nedder is a Boston-based actress, dancer, and teaching artist. She received her Associates Degree in Theatre Arts from Massasoit Community College and is continuing her education with the goal of attaining a BFA in Theatre Arts at Salem State University. She has also completed 10 years of training at the Summer Stage Theatre Program. Sabrina has performed for over 20 years and has worked with various companies including Massasoit Theatre Company, Summer Stage Theatre, and Bay Colony Performing Arts. She has taught and directed at the Summer Stage Theatre Company for six years and has directed several one-act plays. Currently, she is continuing her teaching and directing work at Summer Stage Theatre Company.

Lauren Vanderwater, Lab Performance Artist
(she/her/hers) Lauren Vanderwater is a life long performer, who is always looking for new ways to grow her creative inventory. She is an artist that strives to bring people together through her art by starting conversations, and engaging the audience to try and make them feel like they are more than just observers. Through this mission, Lauren hopes to use her knowledge of movement and body language to help educate and inform others of the great importance that is knowing and learning the body, and why it is so impactful and necessary when it comes to performance.

Theophile Victoria, Lab Performance Artist
(He/Him/His) Theo is a versatile performer and choreographer who creates work from a core belief. Hip-Hop is the universal solvent to American art culture. He is a recent graduate from Salem State University where he completed a B.A. in Dance with a Theatre minor and a Hip-Hop concentration (one of the rarest concentrations in the country). Theo currently dances with Project31 and has performed all over New England including at the Bates Dance Festival. Overall, this performer and leader loves to work in community centric environment where each one, can teach one.

Nicky Carbone, Company Manager

Alex Moon, Playwright
(she/her/hers/they/them) Alex Moon is a Trans-Nonbinary artist, composer, and translator who’s worked with organizations such as The American Repertory Theatre; Ensemble Studio Theatre; Speakeasy Stage Co; Boston University; Aquila Theatre Company, The Tank, Theatre Collaborative, and more. Recently, she directed the Edinburgh Fringe production of “Worm Teeth” by Kelsey Sullivan, her short play ”Bugs” was a winner of the 47th Annual Off-Off Broadway Festival, and her full-length play “G-Town',' was a finalist for the 202 & 2024 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. As a translator, her editions of the Homeric Hymns to Dionysus will be featured in the forthcoming issue of Persephone: The Harvard Undergraduate Classics Journal. They are a member of New York University’s class of 2022 double majoring in Dramatic Writing and Classics, having trained as well with Frantic Assembly and One Year Lease’s Apprentice Program in Papingo, Greece.
