WHERE THEATRE MEETS INQUIRY

The emBODY Ensemble presents three original productions this season:

As You Like It: Body, Belonging, and Liberation,

The Bacchae: Body, Rebellion, and Collective Liberation,

and Metamorphosis,

a season-long investigation into how body culture shapes the performing self,

moving from personal liberation to collective surrender to full transformation.

Where the method meets the stage.

The emBODY Ensemble is the home of our mainstage performance work, where the emBODY Performance Method meets the stage.

Here, fully realized productions take shape through our core values of embodied storytelling, freedom, presence, and authenticity. The ensemble uses body culture-centered rehearsal, physical theatre, and collaborative devising to create:

  • Bold reimaginings of existing scripts, viewed through the lens of bodies, histories, and power.

  • New work grown from embodied research, lived experience, and ensemble imagination.

This is where the work meets the world.

The emBODY Ensemble is both a creative home and a performance platform, offering audiences theatre that is alive in the body, rooted in collaboration, and charged with the possibility of connection and liberation.
