About the event
FAUST: Pacts, Power, and Embodied Desire By emBODY Ensemble Artists | Directed & Written by Corinne M. Mason | Devised by emBODY Ensemble Artists | Sponsored by Canton Community Theatre
Doors open at 7:00 PM. Arrive early to be welcomed into an evening gala featuring classical vocal performances by Lee Ellis and complimentary hors d'oeuvres and drinks while you wait for the work to begin.
What happens when the devil doesn't need to seduce you, because the world already has? FAUST: Pacts, Power, and Embodied Desire drops the sulfur and keeps the structure. A genius. A weapon. A contract with something that speaks the language of institutions. emBODY Project Theatre's ensemble adaptation of the Faust myth investigates the specific American hunger to be equal to the force pulling the strings, built through original movement, ensemble ritual, and a cast of voices that live both inside and around our protagonist.
